Search The Scriptures...
You have probably heard of churches of Christ. Perhaps you have asked yourself, "Who are these people? What if anything, distinguishes them from other churches in the world?"  Members of churches of Christ seek to follow the example and doctrine of the original New Testament church.  Many are lamenting the fact that many churches have lost its way, becoming burdened with tradition and have failed to be what Christ planned it should be.  The only answer is to go to scriptures and find out what the church was in its beginning.  Restore in our time the church which Christ built and died for. Why not go back to the simplicity and purity of the first century church?  Let's take the Bible alone and throw away human creeds. Let the Bible speak for us and follow it only. Let's plant the same seed, which is the word of God and be Christians only as they were. And require nothing of people as acts of faith except that which is evident in the scriptures.  We ask only that men and women everywhere follow God's plan.

Each congregaton of the church of Christ is self-governed.
Each congregation is self-ruled. There are no governing boards, no earthly headquarters, and no man designated organization structure.  Each congregation is independent of every other congregation. We are united in common under the authority of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18) and the Bible.  There are no official publications, annual meeting or conventions.  Each congregation is governed locally by a plurality of elders selected from among the members. These are men who meet the specific qualifications for this duty given in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1.  There are also deacons in each congregation. These men meet the biblical qualifications given in 1 Timothy 3.

Items of worship.
Worship in the churches of Christ are the same as in the first century church as read in new testament books such as Acts and others. Worship is centered on five items. We believe the example established and pattern from the Bible is important. Jesus said, "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit in truth"  (John 4:24)

Our worship must be directed to the God, It must be prompted by the right spirit and it must be according to truth. To worship God according to truth is to worship Him according to His word.  His word is truth. (John 17:17)  The five items of worship observed by the first century church were singing, praying, preaching, giving and eating the Lord's Supper.
