A REMINDER ABOUT OUR SERVICES:
When Jesus was asked by His parents, why He stayed behind in Jerusalem at the temple, He answered, “I must be about My Father’s business.” Christians are His children today, and we also have been given a business to do in His kingdom. Luke describes Jesus as one who “went about to do and to teach,” Acts 1:1-3. These words should describe our lives as well. We need to constantly remind ourselves of what that work and business is. The work is what it takes to send the gospel of Christ to the world, to encourage and exhort the saints in fellowship, to help those who are in need, to teach our own the knowledge and wisdom of God in His written word, and to praise our God in worship through singing, praying, giving, teaching, listening, and remembering our Lord’s sacrifice through worship together (Acts 2:39-42; Eph. 4-5; Col. 2-3). LOOK AT THIS BULLETIN! It is filled with opportunities to fulfill all that is described above. We are a blessed congregation to have so much going on for the work and glory of God. Have you found your place in the work of the kingdom? There is much to be done before the Lord returns and takes His kingdom to the Father. Let us all be about our Father’s business when He does.
